About the Scrap Chicks
MarthaMartha Crowther
Hi! My name is Martha Crowther and I live in Salem, New Hampshire. I have been scrapping for about five years now, and absolutely love it! I have always had a passion for taking lots and lots of photos so when the girls from church saw all of my photo albums they immediately introduced me to scrap booking and since my first purchase at my scrapbook store I have been hooked and addicted. I work full time, so scrap booking is therapy for me. My scrapping subjects are Scotty, age 13 and Brandon age 3 and my hard working and supportive husband Scott. My family provides me with wonderful scrapping material anything from my 3 year old jumping in the pool for the first time to my 12 year old having a shutout at his hockey game. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and such a passion for my scrap booking. My favorite thing about scrapping is recording everyday and important events of our lives for my family and their families to have for generations to come.

Just an average gal who enjoys tinkering with lots of goodies. I am a SAHM who works out of the home too. I enjoy my family & love photos. Everything I do is inspired by one thing or another. I can't really pin point where it exactly comes from. I just enjoy creating unusual things & love Pandora's box. Nothing is ever stagnant in the world of art~

I am a newly happily retired card carrying member of AARP and proud of it! I retired in February of this year and am rushing headlong into my "real life" outside of the 9-14 hour workday that today's world demands.
I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. I won my first poetry contest when I was about 9 years old and my poem was in the local newspaper...don't remember what was on the "other" page of our little paper....My mom was the one who encouraged me to write. She was really very good at poetry but just didn't have the time to write, while my grandmother tutored me in what was called "elocution" in those days. Later on I would take speech and drama in high school. I was more into the speech part than the drama.
A few years ago a friend and I co-wrote and produced a children's musical for our local church and did another collage of poetry and songs which was televised by our local cable company. Everyone should have a moment that they enjoy as much as I enjoyed those!
I have a wonderful husband of 38(almost) years and a wonderful grown up daughter who probably would rather than I didn't mention her age...so I won't. I also have two adorable spoiled fur babies who keep me entertained and feeling adored! Gus is a smart but stubborn poodle and Cozy is a spoiled, pampered and petite Chihuahua/Shin Tzu mixture who believes the world was created to revolve around her.
These are the wonderful things in my newly retired world that make up my poetry and inspire me. Read a few and see if they make you smile as big as I smiled when I wrote them ... or in some cases if they bring you to tears just as I was in tears when I wrote them....
